REVIEW: Mia Gladstone's CYCLE/S

CYCLE/S is Mia Gladstone’s second extended play, and a very brilliant one at that. I have been anticipating Gladstone’s next project for some time now, and it doesn’t disappoint! Released on December 4th, 2020, its the perfect way to end the year!

CYCLE/S doesn’t deviate too far from Gladstone’s first EP, GROW, but it does come with a new and different style from the artist.

The singles, “CHANGE THE CHANNEL” and “FOOD” are very upbeat and promote better mindset and self-confidence. The songwriting is brilliant, and the lyrics flow well.

“GO”, “I FEEL FINE”, and “EGO” are the other tracks on the album, and they’re just as good. “GO” is a poppy song with a foot-tapping beat. “I FEEL FINE” is such a zany sounding song, with a crazy instrumental track. “EGO” rounds out the EP with good messages of letting go of your ego.

Overall, Gladstone’s newest project really shows how she’s grown as an artist, and it’s a beautiful new gateway to genres unexplored. Definitely worth a listen or two. Or fifty.
