REVIEW: Sarah Close's And Now, We’re Shining
And Now, We’re Shining is Sarah Close’s second extended play. Sporting seven tracks, it’s Close’s biggest project yet, and it doesn’t disappoint! Released on March 20th, 2020, giving it a listen is definitely a great way to pass the time while stuck at home!
With the five tracks “If It Was Me”, “Cool”, “Crazy Kind”, “You Say”, and “Almost” being released as singles beforehand, it didn’t leave much to be anticipated. With only tracks “Pattens” and “Stay” the only original tracks to the album, it does flow well all together.
Speaking of “Patterns”, the much anticipated song was one of Close’s most popular unreleased track. Finally hearing it professionally recorded is a nice feeling, though, after listening to it live so many times.
“Stay”, the most somber track, is a very beautifully written song. It shows Close’s growth through the years, and really shows the maturity since her first EP, Caught Up.
All in all, And Now, We’re Shining is a brilliant and beautiful extended play and definitely deserves a listen. Trust me!
