Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy Is Finally Happening!
With the recent death of the Nintendo 3DS eShop, and the death of its internet services on the horizon, it seemed as though it was finally time for Capcom to introduce modern consoles to the extended world of Ace Attorney.
Just announced for a 2024 release, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, in similar format to the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, will collect the latter three mainline games in porting them to modern consoles. The port contains high-definition remasters of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice. It will also include the previously paywall-locked special episodes and content for free.
Now, you may be asking, why is it called Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy when two of the installments are Phoenix Wright games? My explanation: while the latter two games focus on Phoenix Wright as the main character, the overall arc of the trilogy focuses on Apollo Justice, his past and heritage, and his journey as a rising defense attorney.
Needless to say, I'm pleased that I'll finally be able to play (almost) all of the Ace Attorney games in one place, instead of constantly going back and forth between my Nintendo 3DS and my Nintendo Switch. My only complaint is that price- $50 for three ports of games I've already played?! Including one I've played multiple times? ...I might just wait for this one to go on sale haha. Now if we could just get Athena Cykes: Ace Attorney...
What are your thoughts on the new announcement? Will you be playing Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy?
