REVIEW: Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3

What a brilliant and beautiful way to end the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.
This is one of the best feature films Marvel Studios has released in a long time, along with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
I loved all of the characters, with Nebula and Mantis being standouts to me, but the focus on Rocket was a brilliant choice. Finally giving us his backstory, the tragedy of his friends, and his new role as the captain of the Guardians of the Galaxy was beautiful. The choice to have Peter and Gamora separate was bittersweet, and watching Peter return to his family on Earth felt like a full circle moment.
James Gunn really made an amazing finale, with his direction and writing being absolutely phenomenal. I commented many times in the theater that the cinematography and CGI looked a lot better than what we've seen in recent films like Thor: Love And Thunder and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. I only hope that Marvel Studios will continue to push out quality films such as this one.
All in all, this was a bittersweet and beautiful ending to a nearly decade-long story. The DCEU is in safe hands. 5 out of 5 stars.
