REVIEW: Mia Gladstone's GROW
GROW is Mia Gladstone’s much awaited debut extended play. Released on August 21st 2019, the EP consists of seven tracks, five of which were previously released as singles.
Overall, the EP flows brilliantly. A mix of hip-hop, jazz, and lo-fi, GROW is a bright and fun album to listen to.
As stated earlier, the tracks “GROW”, “BABY DON’T WORRY”, “HOLD IT DOWN”, “LOVE U”, and “REVOLUTIONIZE” had been released as singles previously. The tracks “LONELYASFCK” and “FEEL IT” were the only original songs to the EP.
My personal favorite track was “BABY DON’T WORRY”. I had become a fan of Gladstone just shortly after the release of the track as a single. The other stand out songs were “FEEL IT”, “LOVE U”, and “REVOLUTIONIZE”. Their poppy and upbeat tone really set the mood for the album.
All in all, the frequent Yung Gravy and bbno$ collaborator still has room to grow, no pun intended. I can’t wait to see where Mia Gladstone goes!
