REVIEW: The Inexplicable Logic of My Life by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
I have received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book through the publisher. This has not affected my rating in any way.
Thank you to Clarion Books for sending me an Advance Reader’s Copy of The Inexplicable Logic of My Life!
The Inexplicable Logic of My Life was my first Benjamin Alire Sáenz novel. I had heard great things about his other novel Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, so I was expecting great things from this one.
I should’ve lowered my expectations.
No plot, boring characters, and no reason to read this as literally nothing happens. The main character does nothing but go to school and go home, rinse and repeat. Even the side characters don’t do anything important. This novel eventually became a chore to pick up so I decided to put it down at the 30% mark. The Inexplicable Logic of My Life is 1 out of 5 stars.
The Inexplicable Logic of My Life by Benjamin Alire Sáenz will be available on March 7th, 2017.
